How can nonprofits break through the background noise and move people enough to close their laptops? Real change happens when people are willing to step outside of their comfort zones, but getting people there can be a real challenge. It requires going deep, but how does a nonprofit with limited resources do that at scale?

Join Karl Hardin, digital strategist for the Dogwood Initiative, and Cam Gray, an organizer with leadnow.ca, for a presentation and Q&A about the systems and techniques used by two innovative organizations working to develop deep relationships with as many people as possible in order to address the major challenges of our times.

Suggested donation: $5.

Agenda:

• 5:30-6:00: Doors open. schmoozing and snacks

• 6:00-6:05: NetSquared welcome

• 6:05-7:05: Presentation by Karl Hardin and Cam Gray

• 7:05-7:30: Mingling, talking about next steps

About Karl Hardin and Cam Gray

Karl Hardin is a digital strategist with the Dogwood Initiative.

Dogwood identifies strategic points of power that can be leveraged by British Columbians to take back decision-making power over their land and water. Then it’s about organizing and showing up. Karl focuses on realizing this online and moving the action offline.

Cam Gray is an organizer with Leadnow.ca.

Leadnow.ca believes that by coming together to defend the things we care about, we can build the momentum this country needs to rise to the major challenges of our time. Cam works as a rapid response organizer, moving online action to community-based movements across the country.
