Another great event by our partner organization 501 Commons – 501 Commons Talks Tech!
Google Analytics is a popular tool for gathering information on who visits your website, how they got there, and what they do once they’re there.
Do you know how you can use this information to your advantage?
Understanding your online audience can help you make informed decisions related to your mission, operations, services, and fundraising. You can also gain valuable insight after asking questions like:
– What programs and partnerships successfully get new visitors to critical services, events, and pages?
– Where do people start on your website, what do they find from there, and what percentage take action?
– What is the profile of visitors to your website? Does it match your client target?
– What about your website is working and not working for users and clients?
Expert trainer Katherine Cleland will cover these key topics:
> Managing and configuring Google Analytics for websites (not apps)
> How to set up a personalized dashboard to track your site’s performance
> Visitor Trends: How to see visitors to your website, trending over time and year-over-year
> Visitor Overview: How to find the Age, Gender, Location and other demographics of people visiting your website
> How to find the ratio of new vs. returning visitors
> Acquisition Overview: How to find out how people find your site and where they come from
> Popular Content Overview: How to look at which pages are most important
> Goals and Conversions Overview: How to set goals in Google Analytics that work for your nonprofit
> How to link Google Analytics to Google Search Console for even more information
